2020 Application JFEW/SUNY International Relations & Global Affairs Program

Program Description: 
The Jewish Foundation for Education of Women (JFEW) SUNY International Relations and Global Affairs Program is a two-year academic program for rising female juniors who demonstrate a strong interest in careers in international affairs. Eligibility and Selection Criteria:
Female students who demonstrate an interest in Global Affairs and meet all of the following requirements will be considered:
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- U. S. citizens or eligible for citizenship
- Permanent residence must be in New York State
-Enrolled as a full time student
- Entering Junior Year in Fall 2020
- Have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file with Binghamton University's Office of Financial Aid. This FAFSA must establish that the student has demonstrated financial need. It is therefore a requirement that you complete your FAFSA prior to the submission of your scholarship application.
-Qualified Scholars must secure their own housing and other accommodations during the Summer 2021 Internship in New York City.

Once uploaded, documents should be submitted to the “JFEW SUNY Global Affairs Scholarship Program” posting in Handshake.

2 Send two letters of recommendation through email to Jessica Lane-Rwabukwisi, the JFEW/SUNY Campus Liaison, at jlanerwa@Binghamton.edu and include in the subject line “First Name, Last Name, JFEW SUNY Letter of Recommendation.” Letters of Recommendation can also be sent through mail to: Jessica Lane-Rwabukwisi, JFEW/SUNY Scholars Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development, Binghamton University PO Box 6000, Binghamton NY 13902.

Applications are due by 11:59PM on Monday, April 20, 2020. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Once all completed materials are submitted, the committee will begin consideration of your candidacy. Finalists selected by the committee will be put forward to JFEW for consideration. The final selection of program participants may be made in August 2020.
