Johnson City Mentor Program Fall 2020: Returning Mentor Application

Did you love your experience as a JC Mentor?

We welcome you to apply to be a mentor through the Johnson City Mentor Program again!

The Johnson City Mentor Program is a 2 credit internship program that pairs Binghamton University students with a Johnson City Middle School student for the entire academic semester.

As a mentor, you are required to be a positive role model for the students and will be working with the student for 5 hours a week. Mentors will gain professional development skills for all industries.

Transportation is required for this internship. The Johnson City Middle School is about 10 minutes from campus, so if you have your own car, you can drive. We also create a carpool sheet at the beginning of the semester so that those without cars are able to find car pool based on their schedules. There is public transportation available to the Johnson City Middle School on the BC Transit #17 line. Please be aware that the bus leaves Binghamton University to go to the middle school at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., and returns around 11:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. You need to call the bus ahead of time to make sure they come to the middle school.
